ASTI was our first weimaraner. After several years with other gundogs, we went for the best: we bought a weimaraner. We have never had reasons to regret this! THANKS, Tobbe and Lina for a wonderful dog and companion!

The sire of ASTI, LP SLCH SL(ELIT)CH SV-92 Rhannigal Ghostbuster, "BUSTER", was imported from England as a nine weeks old puppy. Breeder: Mr & Mrs S D Simpson. His sire was renowned for his beautiful colour and impeccable temperament.
BUSTERs prizes: passed mentaltest, 1st prize openclass bloodtracking, 11 x Best Of Breed, 10 x CACIB. Hip-X-rayed: no sign of hipdysplasia.

The dam of ASTI, Zoola, called "DONNA", was a dog with a lot of personality, a dog with lots of charisma. Breeder: Lage Nilsson, Sjöbo.
DONNAs prizes: several CK, Best Of Breed, CACIB, BOB-veteran and placed in the gundog groupfinals at SKK allbreed dogshows. Hip-X-rayed: no sign of hipdysplasia.
She was a good mother to her puppies. There were seven in the first litter:

ASTI has had three litters, which has resulted in 23 puppies, and three of them are today champions (SUCH). She has inherited her good hunting-genes to her progeny, as well. Exports to Denmark, Norway and Germany (where we find "Koloss" as highly ranked stud on the german studdoglist).

ASTI was a great personality, full storm, mentally very stabile. When went hunting with her, she was good at the most: pheasants, ducks, geese, grouse, rabbits, hares, roedeer, elk, fox... ASTI was a good bloodtrackingdog as well, used to track injured roedeer and elk. In our pack, she was our alpha-bitch. After three litters she "retired" from the whelpingbox and fulfilled her days with hunting, hunting ... and hunting! And we do like her: lean back and wait for the field- and showresults to show off from her offspring.

Asti March 2004.

Asti, December 2005.

At four oīclock in the afternoon, March 22nd 2006, Asti got her final rest. She fell asleep very calmly in the knee of her beloved master.
Many words have been said through the years about Asti. Several times we have had the question: "When will we see a dog as good as her?" The answer has allways been: "There is no-one as good as Asti. She has it all!"
We are happy for all these marvellous years we had, almost 13. Many lovely huntingdays, memories that allways will be there. All the marvellous puppies Asti gave birth to, and their children and grandchildren. The legacy will pass on and some day, maybe, perhaps... She has done her footprints.
When she was a little puppy and we decided her callname, it was quite easy; as the aftertaste of a Asti - fresh, bubbly, reliable, sweet and strong!
All of you who had the honour to know Her Highness knows that she was exactly like that. And thatīs how we will remember her. She had it all.
Some stars sparkle brighter than others, and on heaven thereīs now a new one brighter than the others. Miss you!
